Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba University has celebrated the success of its students. The ceremony highlights the quality of the teaching delivered in Arabic. The graduates are set to benefit from financial support from the Der. A fine recognition for these young talents.
By Malick GAYE – Bilingual education and teaching in Arabic have once again demonstrated their immense value on the job market. Last Saturday, Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba University (Ucab) was alive with pride and success at a grand graduation ceremony. Held under the high authority of its president and moral guide, Serigne Mame Mor Mbacké Mourtada, the event honoured hundreds of students rigorously trained in the institution’s various programmes.
Contrary to received wisdom, this graduating class confirms that a command of Arabic, combined with solid professional skills, is a genuine passport to employment. Whether in management, science or technology, the institution’s graduates are proving that their training meets the real needs of the national economy.
A springboard to financial independence
Another highlight of this memorable day was the announcement of major institutional support to ease the new graduates’ entry into working life. The young graduates will be able to benefit from support and funding from the General Delegation for the Rapid Entrepreneurship of Women and Young People (Der/Fj). A breath of fresh air for these graduating classes, who aspire to launch innovative projects and take an active part in Senegal’s development.
In its address delivered before an audience of dignitaries, parents and teachers, the management paid tribute to the perseverance of these students, who managed to overcome academic obstacles. The combined efforts of the teaching staff and partners now allow these young people to look to the future with confidence and optimism. This day will remain etched in memory as the symbol of an educated youth, rooted in its values and ready to take on the challenges of tomorrow.
